Licensed Master Social Worker
I am a clinician at our Aldie clinic who provides therapy services!
My ideal client would be an individual who identifies as LGBTQ+, particularly those struggling with mood, anxiety, or eating disorders. This population often battles with social acceptance and may be experiencing related trauma or difficult transitions. The client would likely need support managing symptoms exacerbated by the current social climate in addition to addressing disorder-related symptoms. This client’s goals would be to manage and address any presenting disorders while simultaneously working towards self-acceptance. This client would seek to achieve a better sense of belongingness at home, work, and in social settings.
I have significant experience working with children and adults experiencing developmental, learning, and intellectual disabilities. I offer a compassionate and holistic approach to addressing the internal and external barriers often faced by this population. As a former ABA clinician, I have supported children and families in developing and implementing behavior modification plans as well as advocating for the child’s needs. Additionally, I have supported both individuals currently experiencing domestic violence as well as those who cause harm in group settings, and understand the complexities of interpersonal relationships.
I want my clients to know that I am aware of the impact of our environment on the struggles and challenges we face. I value a holistic approach that takes into consideration all aspects of an individual’s life when determining the best course of treatment. We will be on this therapeutic journey together, and fostering a supportive, compassionate relationship is my primary goal. I value candor and will always provide services with honesty as a driving principle.
