### Mental Health Therapist

![](https://www.columbiapsychiatry-dc.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/unnamed-e1765381107530.jpg)

Hi, I’m Ruth! I am a counselor at our [Falls Church, VA](https://www.columbiapsychiatry-dc.com/wp-content/uploads/wp-mfa-exports/location/falls-church-va.md) clinic who provides [therapy](https://www.columbiapsychiatry-dc.com/psychiatric-care/mental-health-counseling-and-therapy/) services.

Supporting your journey toward healing and personal growth is my deepest commitment. I aim to create a warm, empathetic space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. My approach is rooted in empathy and collaboration, recognizing that healing is a personal process of self-discovery and growth. I’m dedicated to walking alongside you, offering support and understanding as you navigate your emotions and experiences. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, and I’m passionate about helping each person find their unique path forward.

I believe in the biopsychosocial model, which highlights the connection between biological, psychological, and social factors in shaping mental health. This holistic perspective helps me understand the full context of your experiences and address the emotional, physical, and environmental influences that impact your well-being.

I offer a nuanced, culturally responsive approach informed by the challenges and strengths that come with navigating multiple cultural identities. This perspective allows me to provide inclusive, empathetic support that honors each client’s background while fostering growth and healing.
