## Licensed Professional Counselor

I am Zulma Salmeron, a licensed therapist at our [Greenbelt, MD](https://www.columbiapsychiatry-dc.com/wp-content/uploads/wp-mfa-exports/location/greenbelt-md.md) clinic with experience working with children, teens, and adults in both school and outpatient settings. My goal is to welcome you into a supportive space where you will feel accepted, understood, and safe to be yourself.

In my practice, I use a strength-based, CBT, and person-centered approach to support clients navigating depression, anxiety, emotional regulation, grief, and everyday life challenges. In our work together, you can count on being heard and valued just as you are, as we explore your emotions, build coping skills, and work toward meaningful growth and healing.

I have experience supporting children with ADHD and behavioral concerns, teens with self-esteem and school-related stress, and adults navigating relationship and life challenges. I provide a supportive space where clients feel heard, build coping skills, and gain confidence in managing emotions and everyday stress.

I strive to create a welcoming and respectful space where you can show up as you are without fear of judgment. Seeking support can feel difficult, but you do not have to navigate life’s challenges alone. I look forward to walking alongside you in your journey toward healing, growth, and emotional well-being. When you’re ready, I invite you to reach out.
