Dr. Pletkova completed her medical studies at Charles University in Prague. After completing her residency, she was a practicing general surgeon in Prague for a few years before Dr. Pletkova and her family moved to the United States. Dr. Pletkova decided to go into the field of internal medicine in Pennsylvania, and while in her residency, she decided to specialize in general psychiatry. She completed her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry in Washington, D.C. She became an assistant clinical professor at George Washington University. After a few years, Dr. Pletkova and her family moved to Arizona, where she worked in Prescott, Arizona for a few years before she moved to the University of Arizona, where she became an assistant clinical professor and was involved with medical students at the medical school, teaching and supervising residents and pharmacy student and medical students.
Dr. Pletkova has over 25 years of experience in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. Dr. Pletkova’s greatest passion is education and clinical work. She has had the pleasure of being a physician in the Czech Republic, the United States, and New Zealand. Dr. Pletkova’s vast experience has given her great insight into most fields of adult, child, and adolescent psychiatry. Dr. Pletkova is also currently affiliated with George Washington University as a clinical assistant professor. She is also board-certified in general surgery and adult psychiatry and is board eligible in child and adolescent psychiatry.
