## Licensed Clinical Social Worker- Certified

Hello, I am Christel Joel Tajouoh, a licensed therapist at our [Olney, MD](https://www.columbiapsychiatry-dc.com/wp-content/uploads/wp-mfa-exports/location/olney-md.md) clinic with experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families across a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and life challenges. My clinical background includes
supporting individuals who struggle with emotion regulation, anxiety, depression, life stressors, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. I also have specialized experience working with neurodivergent clients, including autistic children and adolescents, as well as caregivers and families navigating complex dynamics.

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and skills-based. I draw primarily from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and cultural context.

I believe meaningful change happens when clients feel validated and empowered with practical tools they can use in daily life. Together, we will work on reconnecting you with what matters most to you. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I would be honored to support you on that journey.
