Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Hello! I am a licensed clinical social worker and Board certified Clinical Supervisor with over 25 years of experience working with all ages. I provide therapy services at our Olney, MD clinic.

I bring my whole self to my work, which includes my background as an actress and director as well as an improv, artist, and want you to bring your whole self to the work. I’m the mother of adults who used to be children, and my experience comes from my training as well as my own life. I will not ask you to do something that I wouldn’t do and I will not tell you what you should do. I will help you reach your goals, not tell you what your goals should be.

My main modality is DBT therapy, used to help build skills for managing distress, regulating emotions, becoming present in the moment, and being effective in relationships. I have expertise in parent, coaching, early childhood and younger child, challenging behaviors, and school collaboration.

I am here to support you in meeting your goals. I will never force you to work on something that is not important to you. I will simply share my perspective on the different outcomes that can occur based on your own choices. I will be honest, direct, and humorous, which are my personality traits woven into my work style.
