Licensed Master Social Worker
An ideal client is someone who is actively engaged and participating in their own treatment, while being open to feedback and collaboration with their therapist. They would be willing to communicate their thoughts, feelings and past experiences while working toward identifying and utilizing their strengths. This is a client who is willing to work through complex emotions, challenge negative thinking patterns and learn new coping techniques. An ideal client would be open to receiving support while working collaboratively with their therapist to implement goals and work toward achieving the progress the client wishes to see. This can be achieved by a client who is actively seeking solutions and taking steps to improve their situation.
