### Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Hello! I’m Rob Marshall, a clinical social worker with experience working with teens (12+), adults, and families at our [Woodbridge, VA](https://www.columbiapsychiatry-dc.com/wp-content/uploads/wp-mfa-exports/location/woodbridge-va.md) clinic.

I use my experience in school settings, intensive outpatient programs, and residential programs to help people manage extreme stress and symptoms related to depression, anxiety, and trauma. I offer a safe and inclusive environment where we use curiosity to better understand heavy feelings such as shame, guilt, and loneliness. We take control of overwhelming stress and maladaptive behaviors that block healing and connection.

We will use individual psychotherapy and education to dispel the illusion of chaos that our symptoms create, and utilize social support through family sessions in order to extend the healing into everyday life. We can discover cathartic ways to express those bottled thoughts and feelings to reveal an identity you’ve always had but never quite knew.

Being able to identify with the struggles my clients face while providing guidance from professional training and experience helps strengthen our dynamic. Yet at the same time, your life and experiences are exclusive, and so I look forward to learning your story. I know t’s difficult to prioritize our needs and happiness, but here we will learn how.
