Hi, my name is Robin Harris. I provide [therapy](https://www.columbiapsychiatry-dc.com/psychiatric-care/mental-health-counseling-and-therapy/) services at our [Towson, MD](https://www.columbiapsychiatry-dc.com/wp-content/uploads/wp-mfa-exports/location/towson-md.md) clinic.

I specialize in treating those who have experienced acute and complex trauma. I previously worked in emergency medicine, specializing in psychiatric assessment and crisis stabilization in the hospital. I have also worked with homelessness and immigration relief services, as well as domestic violence and human trafficking crisis services. I treat trauma using an integrative, whole-system approach, empowered by approaches from EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I also specialize in treating neurodivergent individuals (ADHD, Autism, and OCD).

My most important approach to therapy is to hold a space that can feel safe enough to start the healing journey. My approach is to empower my clients to build upon their innate strengths and self-compassion, so that healing and trauma recovery can grow from within.
