Licensed Master Social Worker – Supervisee

Hello, my name is Sara! I am a clinician at our [Reston, VA](https://www.columbiapsychiatry-dc.com/wp-content/uploads/wp-mfa-exports/location/reston-va.md) clinic who provides [therapy](https://www.columbiapsychiatry-dc.com/psychiatric-care/mental-health-counseling-and-therapy/) services!

I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. My approach is grounded in person-centered therapy, based on the belief that everyone has the potential to create meaningful change in their lives. I work with children, teens, and young adults who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions or other mental health concerns.

Together, we’ll create a supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and experiences. Through play, creative expression, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness techniques. Through play, creative expression, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness techniques, I will provide space for you to process your experiences, build coping skills and work towards your goals.

I understand that starting therapy can be difficult for some, and I commend you for taking this first step toward supporting your mental well-being. I look forward to working with you to navigate your current challenges and achieve the change you seek!
