Board Certified Nurse Practitioner

Shirley is a provider at our Arlington clinic who provides psychiatry services in-person and via telehealth! 

She has worked in the field of psychiatry for over 30 years. She has been the child unit director at Dominion for seven years. Prior to that, she was the coordinator of the school-based psychiatric program at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Shirley holds a B.A. in psychology from Seton Hill College, a BSN from Cumberland University, and two masters from the University of Pittsburgh, one in education and the other in rehabilitation counseling. More recently, she obtained her psychiatric nurse practitioner degree and a master’s in nursing from Wilkes University. She is board-certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Shirley has worked with all age populations but specializes in child and adolescent psychiatry. Shirley loves the field of psychiatry and has worked as a clinical therapist and a psychiatric nurse prior to becoming a nurse practitioner.
