I’m Valerie Rorick, a Licensed Master’s in Social Work (LMSW) and a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP-T), providing [therapy](https://www.columbiapsychiatry-dc.com/psychiatric-care/mental-health-counseling-and-therapy/) services at our [Alexandria](https://www.columbiapsychiatry-dc.com/wp-content/uploads/wp-mfa-exports/location/alexandria-va.md) clinic!

I work with adolescents and adults, providing a compassionate and supportive space where you can feel heard and valued. With a background in clinical social work and experience serving diverse populations, I focus on mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and empowerment. My goal is to help you navigate anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and life changes, honoring your unique background and strengths.

Together, we’ll create a safe space where we can explore feelings and develop healthy coping skills. Using evidence-based approaches like CBT and strengths-based therapy, I aim to support your emotional well-being and help you build resilience. Whether you’re facing stress, life transitions, or emotional challenges, I’m here to support you in your journey.

I believe that seeking help is a sign of strength and courage. You don’t have to face your challenges alone – I’m here to support you every step of the way. Your story matters, and I’m honored to be part of your journey toward healing and growth.
