Doctor of Medicine

Dr Patel is a psychiatrist at our North Bethesda clinic who provides psychiatry services in-person and via telehealth. Dr. Patel is a graduate of Baroda Medical College in India. After completing two residencies, one in psychiatry at the University of Louisville and one in neurology at the University of Kentucky, Dr. Patel completed a fellowship in electromyography at the University of Wisconsin.

His special interests include the treatment of depression, bipolar and mood disorders, ADHD, memory problems, epilepsy, headaches and migraines, Parkinson’s disease, and pinched nerves.

Dr. Patel is board-certified in both psychiatry and neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He has been on the medical staff of Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital since 1985.
