Mia has a passion for helping people reach their health and healing goals. She uses evidence-based practices to encourage clients to improve their lifestyles, thoughts, behaviors, and relationships. Mia centers therapy around the use of self-care to develop positive relationships with herself. She believes in the power of a strong therapeutic relationship. Her approach is rooted in creativity and flexibility, allowing a collaborative experience to tailor sessions to your unique and individual needs. Mia competently embraces cultural diversity and fosters a supportive, safe, and judgment-free environment.
Mia specializes in treating clients (adults, elderly, children, and teens) who struggle with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and adjustment disorders. Her focus is client-centered and goal-oriented in a culturally aware safe space. Mia is competent in working with diverse groups regardless of gender, race, religion, or stage in treatment, including the LGBTAQ community. Mia believes there is no one approach that is right for everyone. She has been trained in various therapies, including Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Holistic Interventions, Exposure Therapy, Integrative Art, Psychodynamics, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Gestalt Therapy, with Mindfulness practices.
Mia strives to incorporate laughter and warmth in every session to help clients face fears and difficult moments of change. In her free time, Mia enjoys thrifting, attending farmer’s markets, going to the movies, and crafting.
