Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor
I am a clinician at our Columbia, MD clinic who provides therapy services!
I am a warm and affirming therapist who offers a safe, judgment-free space where all aspects of you are welcome—especially if you identify as LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, or hold other intersecting identities. Grounded in social justice and trauma-informed care, I meet you with compassion and respect, helping you make sense of your lived experience and reconnect with what truly matters to you. Whether you’re seeking clarity, deeper connection, or meaningful change, I walk alongside you with insight and support. I also bring extensive experience in treating mood and anxiety disorders, co-occurring conditions, suicidality, and serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI).
I utilize an integrative, evidence-based approach, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, and contemporary trauma-informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Treatment is individualized and goal-oriented, beginning with a collaborative exploration of the client’s core values to inform the development of clear, measurable objectives. Interventions emphasize mindfulness-based strategies and structured journaling techniques designed to enhance cognitive clarity, foster self-compassion, and support sustainable change beyond the therapeutic setting.
I am a thoughtful and engaged listener who truly values your story and ensures you feel heard—without cutting you off or rushing the process. I gently point out patterns and themes to help you gain insight and make meaningful connections. Depending on your needs, I can be a steady, supportive presence or a more active, collaborative partner in working toward change. My approach is always centered on your growth, autonomy, and emotional well-being.
