Kelso Cratsley, LMSW

Licensed Master of Social Work

Kelso Cratsley, LMSW, provides counseling and psychotherapy services for adults and adolescents at our Arlington, VA clinic. He works with clients on a range of issues, including anxiety and depression as well as related challenges associated with education and work-related stress, major life transitions, and social and family-based dynamics. He takes a collaborative, flexible approach, tailored to the specific needs of the individual while drawing on several different methods, including Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

In the past, Kelso has worked for a number of different organizations in health and human services, both domestically and internationally. This has included working with professionals in corporate settings as part of an employee assistance program, young adults in community clinics and social service programs, and students in special education schools.

He received his clinical training at Columbia University and the New York State Psychiatric Institute. Kelso is also actively involved in teaching and research. He regularly teaches courses in bioethics, and maintains a research program focused on ethical issues in the field of mental health.
