Vildana Salkic, Resident in Counseling, NCC

Resident in Counseling | National Certified Counselor

I provide therapy services at our Alexandria, VA clinic.

I primarily work with adult populations, ages 18 – 50. Clients I work with typically struggle with depression, anxiety, addiction, and navigating life challenges and transitions. My goal is to welcome you into a supportive space where you’ll find acceptance and understanding, being able to share openly without fear of judgment. In our work together, you can count on being heard and valued just as you are as we explore your emotions and build tangible skills in building the life you want for yourself.

I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as strengths-based and solution-focused therapies. My goal is to help clients build practical skills, deepen self-awareness, and recognize their strengths as they navigate life’s challenges.

I believe that caring for and treating our mental health is not optional, but necessary to be the healthiest version of ourselves. I have seen the positive outcomes and progress clients can make by taking the time to focus on their mental health goals with a supportive therapeutic relationship. I look forward to working with you on your wellness journey!
