Mala Oehlberg, C-DBT, CTRS-C

Hi, I’m Mala and I am an LCPC. I work with children as young as five, teens, young adults, and adults. I work both in person and virtually, offering both outpatient and C-DBT services. I’ve worked with individuals, families, and groups, and I specialize in ADHD, resistant/oppositional clients, LGBTQIA+ issues, trauma (I am trauma certified), and suicidality/self-harm. My approach is collaborative, strengths based, and person-centered, meaning we work together at your pace so you feel heard, supported, and understood every step of the way. I am here to cheer you on and to challenge you, balancing change with acceptance.

Together, we will create a safe space where you can explore emotions, be heard, and at times be challenged in a compassionate way. I use techniques such as: C-DBT, art therapy, play therapy, ACT, TF-CBT, and psychoeducation. I take a less
structured approach that is tailored to match your needs. I am passionate about ADHD, trauma, and LGBTQIA+ support.

Whether this is your first time in therapy or your 30th, it takes courage and resilience to do this. My priority is helping you feel heard and respected. You know yourself best, and I want to understand what works for you. Therapy may feel uncomfortable at times, but my goal is growth, healing, and building comfort with the uncomfortable.
