Clinical Mental Health Counselor

Hi, I’m Amna Hussain, a bilingual Clinical Mental Health Counselor at our Columbia, MD clinic who has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. As a South Asian therapist, I’m passionate about reducing stigma surrounding mental health and creating a welcoming space where clients feel understood and supported. I use psychodynamic and Adlerian approaches to explore how past experiences, family dynamics, and beliefs shape the present while incorporating practical strategies that promote meaningful, lasting change. Whether you’re seeking clarity, healing, or growth, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

My goal throughout our time together will be to explore family history and interpersonal relationships and how they have influenced past and current behavioral and cognitive patterns. This is a space where any and all thoughts can be brought forth and analyzed in a collaborative setting while developing social interest, resilience, and accountability.

It isn’t always easy to talk about your feelings, but I am here to facilitate that process in the most comfortable way possible. I look forward to being a part of your journey in building the skills necessary to help you be the version of yourself that aligns with your values. It would be my privilege to work with you towards your wellness goals!
