Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Hi, I am Judy Baggett, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I offer psychiatry services at our Reston, VA clinic!

I see clients from ages 8 years old through late adulthood. I commonly treat mood disorders and ADHD. My philosophy is to always look at the “whole person” in treatment. Sometimes medical problems can cause mood symptoms. Additionally mood disorders can make a client feel unwell with physical symptoms. I strive to ensure my clients are seeking appropriate medical care as well.

ADHD is an area of strong interest, and experience. This can be a challenging and frustrating disorder for my clients. Many symptoms continue into adulthood, although they change with age. It is rewarding to find the right combination of interventions, including medication, to help manage the symptoms and improve a client’s functioning.

I have the psychopharmacology training, but a client is an expert on themselves! Together we will build an individual treatment plan that takes into account your prior treatment, medical conditions, symptoms and circumstances. Ensuring to address your “whole self.”
