Resident in Counseling
Hi, I’m Kaylee! I’m a Resident in Marriage & Family Therapy and a Resident in Counseling at our Falls Church, VA clinic. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a neuroscience researcher and a geriatric care manager, where I saw firsthand how deeply health issues, caregiving, and life transitions can affect individuals and relationships. I specialize in working with individuals facing dementia-related disorders, caregiver burnout, chronic illness, grief/loss, depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, ASD, perinatal mental health concerns, relational issues, and major life changes. I offer therapy services to individuals, couples, and families.
Using a client-centered approach and strengths-based perspective, I integrate evidence-based models such as mindfulness-based CBT, DBT, family systems therapy, Gottman Method, and emotionally focused therapy to tailor sessions to your unique goals. I also enjoy incorporating expressive arts interventions (e.g., music, painting, coloring) in session.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating. My goal is to create a comfortable, collaborative space where you feel supported and understood. I bring a warm, informal, and encouraging approach, as I am here to meet you exactly where you are. I would be honored to support you as you begin your healing journey.
