Master of Social Work
I understand that suffering is part of being human and this shows up in many ways such as difficulty coping, emotional dysregulation, depression, anxiety, PTSD/trauma, substance use disorder and eating disorders and more. My goal as a therapist is to support clients on their path no matter what that journey looks like and to help clients find the tools and the answers that they need for a greater quality of life. My belief is that mental health is the foundation to all health, and we can improve our lives and the lives of our loved ones through greater mental wellness.
My approach is to help my client develop greater self-awareness while also developing the ability to navigate difficulties and resolve issues. Some of the modalities I use are as follows: Non-Violent Communication, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and body-based approaches.
Reaching out for professional help is one of the greatest things you can do to obtain a state of mental wellbeing. My approach is very talk based and my clients have expressed a great deal of comfort and ease in working with me. I look forward to hearing from you.
