Tsige is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at our North Bethesda clinic who provides psychiatry services in-person and via telehealth. She is licensed in Maryland, DC, and Virginia. She obtained her master’s degree in psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Walden University. Tsige is qualified to treat various mental health issues, including mood disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and anxiety disorders.
She is passionate about providing quality, compassionate, and comprehensive mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults. She takes a holistic care approach and believes in empowering clients to be part of the decision-making when it comes to their treatment. Tsige is motivated to reduce the stigma associated with mental health and is devoted to helping clients to achieve their highest potential. She provides culturally competent and non-judgmental quality services and speaks English and Amharic. Prior to becoming the CRNP, Tsige received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Maryland, where she graduated with honors. She has worked in the intensive care unit and emergency room for about 14 years.
