Chenoa Bishop, LMSW

Chenoa Bishop is a licensed master social worker trained to work with adolescents and adults. She is a trauma- and neuro-informed clinician who uses her knowledge and experience to employ a holistic approach to treatment. Chenoa is experienced in working with adult survivors of domestic violence and treating substance use disorders. Her experience also includes co-facilitating group therapy and the development of a recovery program for substance use. For the last five years, she has worked in domestic violence shelters providing therapy for trauma and substance use and as a legal case manager. Her approach to therapy is eclectic and emphasizes a strengths-based and person-centered perspective. Chenoa is trained in dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy, crisis intervention, seeking safety, and mind-body medicine. She incorporates all aspects of these modalities along with cognitive-behavioral therapy in treatment to provide a client-specific approach.

She received her B.S. in human services with a concentration in addiction from the University of Phoenix and a Master of Social Work degree from the Louisiana State University School of Social Work.
